The Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has described the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, as a leader with impeccable track record in public service.
Dr. Ayakoroma stated this in a congratulatory letter to the former Senate President, on his appointment as the SGF, saying that the appointment was well-deserved.
The NICO boss, who sent the letter on behalf of the Institute’s management and staff, compared the appointment of the SGF with that of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega, and concluded that both had been widely applauded by Nigerians.
He noted that the wide acceptance of both appointments by President Goodluck Jonathan confirms the yearning of Nigerians for credible persons to be appointed into public offices.
According the letter: “I wish to heartily congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR.
“Your Excellency, we have implicit confidence in your ability to perform creditably, considering your impeccable track record in public service. Thus, there is no doubt that with your swearing-in and assumption of office, you will bring your wealth of experience to be in revitalizing the engine room of the government.”
