The newly appointed Director-General, Rivers State Carnival & Tourism Development Agency (RSCTDA), Mr. Sam Achibi Dede, has declared his intention to go into partnership with National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) in its programmes.

Stating this in a letter of thanks to the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, for his kind words as regards his appointment, Mr. Dede said what informed his decision was because of Ayakoroma’s style of administration in NICO.

The DG, who asserted that Dr. Ayakoroma’s words are encouraging to him, said he was motivated by them; hence his intention is to set up a truly professional agency with service delivery capacity in Rivers State.

Continuing, he commended Dr. Ayakoroma for his administration in NICO, which he described as giant strides and added that it was on that note he proposed partnership with the apex cultural institute in Nigeria.

Wishing NICO boss the best in his future endeavours, the popular Nollywood actor, who has many films to his credit, said: “Many thanks for your kind and encouraging words as regards my appointment as DG of the RSCTDA. I am more motivated, indeed. My intention is to set up a truly professional agency with delivery capacity. In this regard, we shall be proposing partnerships with NICO. May I also use this opportunity to commend you on the giant strides that you have introduced to the administration of NICO.’’

Dr. Ayakoroma had earlier sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Dede, describing his appointment as the D-G, RSCTDA, by the by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, as well-deserved just as he said that Dede has a good track record, and that the appointment reflects the yearning of Nigerian youths for very credible persons to be appointed into public office.
