As part of its constitutional duties, the Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism, led by its Chairman, Senator Hassan Barata, will visit the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), for oversight functions on Monday, 23rd July, 2012.

The visit would afford the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, the opportunity to brief the Committee on the programmes and achievements of the Institute, as well as the challenges facing the smooth operations of the organisation, especially the imperatives of funding and Access Road to the Institute’s Training School complex in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

It will be recalled that the House Committee on Culture and Tourism, under the chairmanship of Hon. Ben Nwankwo, carried out the same oversight visit last month, and the team that visited NICO was led by Hon. Muniru Hakeem Abiodun.
