The 2013 edition of the NewsRay Annual Public Lecture & Leadership Awards comes up tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11, 2013, at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon. Tunde Akogun, a former Minister of Culture and Tourism.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr. Boris Gbaranwii, and the Editorial Advisor of NewsRay, Hon. Nelson Ebi Campbell, said the Keynote Lecture, titled, “Rethinking the Transformation Agenda from a Cultural Perspective: The Imperatives of the Media,” will be delivered by the Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma.
The Royal Father of the Day is HRH King AJ Turner, the Obanema of Opume, while the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Hon. Seriake Dickson is expected as the Special Guest of Honour.
The occasion will also feature presentation of awards to deserving persons in the public and private sector, as well as the traditional institution.
