Federal Civil Servants based in Kwara State, the State of Harmony, are set to heartily welcome the Federal Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Works, Dr. A. K. Mohammad, on Thursday, 21st November, 2013, in Ilorin, the state Capital.

In a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, addressed to the Chairman, National Forum of Heads of Federal Government Establishments, Kwara State Chapter, dated 12th November, 2013, indicated that the Federal Permanent Secretary will be having interactive session and consultations with Federal Civil Servants in Kwara state.

In an interview, the Chairman, National Forum of Heads of Federal Government Establishments, Kwara State Chapter, Mallam Ibrahim Lawal, who is also the Zonal Coordinator, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), North Central Zone, Ilorin, said that Federal Civil Servants in Kwara State were ready for the interactive session with the Federal Perm. Sec.

While explaining further, Mallam Lawal said the purpose of the Federal Perm. Sec’s visit to Ilorin was to sensitize the Federal Civil Servants of Federal Government efforts in putting a reform process that would reinvigorate the Civil Service and put it on a better pedestal to effectively play its role as the lead agency in the execution of policies and programmes of government.

The Chairman added that he is working hand-in-hand with the Federal Controller of Works, Kwara state Engr. Omotayo Awosanyo and the Kwara State Head of Service, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed, to mobilise a large number of civil servants in the State to the Conference Hall of the Federal Secretariat venue of the interactive session at 10.00am.
