As the 1st Assembly of the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNET) comes to a close in Seoul, Republic of Korea, the Director, Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Poland, Mr. Pawel Potoroczyn, has disclosed the readiness of his Institute to host the 3rd GPDNET Assembly in 2016, considering the fact that Korea Foundation has said it will still host the two mandatory meetings in 2015.

This gesture was greatly applauded by participants at the on-going 2014 GPDNET Inaugural Assembly, as the implication is that Adam Mickiewicz Institute will also bear the expenses of two participants from each member institution, which include airfare, local accommodation and transportation.

It will be recalled that the Korea Foundation, the initiators of GPDNET, had through its Director, Mr. Yongshik Choi, promised to take care of the expenses for meetings in 2014 and 2015 after which other member organisations would be required to host, a decision that had given serious cause for concern on the continuity of the Assembly meetings after 2015, considering the huge resources required for such hosting.

Earlier in the day, the Assembly had had discussion sessions on the Charter, Joint Projects for Global Common Good and Managing Public Democracy: Corporations and Governments before a luncheon with senior officials of the Korea Foundation.
