The Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has highlighted once again the importance of cultural training for workers when he stated that any NICO staff who fails to complete the Institute’s regular programmes in Cultural Administration will not be promoted.
The Executive Secretary gave this flyer during the meeting of the Examination Committee of the Institute held on Tuesday February 10, 2015 in NICO, Lagos to consider the last Semester Examination result of students of NICO Training School.

The NICO boss emphasized during the meeting that NICO certificates are valuable possessions which can only be earned by worthy and deserving students through hard work. Therefore, he continued, any NICO student who fails to sit for an examination, defend assigned research project, or abstain from field work must return the next academic session to do so as the Institute has set academic standards that cannot be compromised.

During the Exam Committee meeting, score sheets of NICO students for second semester examinations of 2013/2014 Academic session were presented by Mrs. Brigitte R. Yerima, Director, NICO Training School before the Committee with the NICO’s Executive Secretary presiding.

Other key officers present for the Committee meeting include Mr. Louis Eriomola, Director, NICO Liaison Office, Lagos, Dr.Dipo Kalejaiye, Head of Academics Unit and lecturers of the School.

The Score sheets were discussed along with carry-over cases for both semesters of last session. Thereafter, the results as amended were considered and approved to be released to the notice of students.

The resumption date for new intakes into the Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma programmes for the 2014/2015 Academic sesssion remains March 2nd, 2015 as announced earlier.
