It was like the heavenly Cherubim and Seraphim in the presence of God, when NICO State Office, Enugu gathered on Wednesday, 25th February, 2015 to celebrate her 2nd Anniversary with a spiritual exercise in her office located at 17A Nnobi Street, Independence Layout, Enugu, Enugu State.

The exercise, which had all the staffers in attendance, was to thank and give God the glory for His love, mercies, grace, blessings and protection upon NICO and its staffers, particularly the Enugu State office all through the past two years.

NICO Enugu also prayed and committed Nigeria into the hands of God, especially amidst the numerous challenges facing her, as a country, as she prepares for the 2015 general election, believing that when the country is stable and peaceful, NICO and its staffers will be partakers.

In his remarks, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, the State Head, Mr. Nwajagu Nnaemeka, noted that NICO enjoys God’s protection because of the love its leadership and staffers have for God, recalling the uncountable blessings and favours of God upon NICO Enugu, in particular, and NICO in general in the last two years, which includes keeping staffers alive and healthy, successfully hosting NICO programmes amidst the many constraints and celebration of child births as well as marriages.

The State Head, who further appreciated staffers for their cooperation, obedience, dedication and commitment to duty, also thanked God for the wisdom He bestowed on the Executive Secretary and his Management team, expressing his gratitude to them for their good works, love and contributions towards the growth of NICO Enugu State Office.

Finally, he charged NICO staffers to love God the more so as to enjoy more of His grace in the present year and beyond.

The event featured praises, worship, prayers and thanksgiving to God, the climax of which was the traditional presentation of kola nut, performed by Mr. Tony Chukwu of the Orientation & Cultural Affairs Department, on behalf of the State Head, while Mr. Ibe Michael Ogbuu of Corporate Affairs Unit broke the kola nut.

It will be recalled that NICO Enugu State Office took off effectively on the 25th of February, 2013, and the office has made quite an impact in promoting the Institute’s cultural orientation programmes, especially in Enugu and Ebonyi States.
