altThe Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor Ondo State, Dr. Kola Ademujimi, has lauded NICO’s Cultural Clubs, “Omoluabi,” saying that building the youths, the leaders of tomorrow, is a veritable means of building the nation.

Dr. Ademujimi, who stated this in his office, when the NICO South-West Zonal Head, Mr. Ohi Ojo, paid him a courtesy call, expressed appreciation to the management of the Institute for locating the headquarters of the zone in Akure, Ondo State, and further commended it for initiating laudable programmes, most especially the NICO Cultural Clubs in secondary schools, ‘Omoluabi.’alt

He said he was glad hear that 27 staffers of the Zone were recruited by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), as ad-hoc staff, during the last Gubernatorial elections in the state, which, according to him, was an evidence of patriotism by NICO staff.

The Chief of Staff also promised to place NICO SWZ’s request for a utility vehicle before the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, as the State Government wants to create the enabling atmosphere for federal parastatals in the state to function very well.

Earlier in his speech, the NICO Zonal Head, Mr. Ohi Ojo, extended the greetings and good wishes of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, to the government and good people of Ondo State, for their hospitality and support since the zonal office was established in Akure.

Walthile thanking the State Government for their support in 2012, Mr. Ojo also intimated the Chief of Staff on the Institute’s programmes for the year 2013, which include, Continuation of Inauguration of Cultural Clubs in Secondary Schools, Documentation of Cultural Festivals, Celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity on May 21, Children’s Day Celebration/Epic Drama Performance by selected secondary schools on May 27, Nigerian Indigenous Language Programme in August/ September, and Children’s Cultural Fiesta in December, and solicited for a utility vehicle from the government to enhance the job performance of the Zonal Office.  

In the entourage of the Zonal Head were the Head, Finance and Account, Mrs. Funmilola Owan; Head, Orientation and Cultural Affairs, Mrs. Ruth Oyenekan; Ag. Head, Research and Documentation, Mr. Tony Chukwu; Ag. Head, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Stephen Ayomoba; Mr. Dickson Idonije of Orientation and Cultural Affairs; Mr. Peter Fayomi of Research and Documentation; and Miss Folashade Oladejobi of Orientation and Cultural Affairs.
