The Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service, Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) Chapter, has dedicated a vehicle it purchased for the welfare of its members to God.
The dedication of the 18-seater red Ford Transit bus, which was done by Apostle Peter Ogoun of Glory and favour Ministry International, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, came just as the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, commended the Union for the achievement.
Earlier, the AUPCTRE chapter Chairman, Mr. Onyekachi Nwanguma, had given thanks to God for guiding members of the EXCO since their assumption of office, even as he gave kudos to the Management and Union members for the support given to his leadership.
His words: “The Lord has been good to AUPCTRE leadership since we came on board. We promised that we will buy a bus and the Lord has helped us to achieve it. This is to ease transport problems for members of the Union. It will really boost the welfare package we have for members of our Union. I must say that the Management has been helping us. The ES has been handling us like a father would handle his children. We are most grateful to him. To the entire members, I am grateful for your support and plead for more support so that we achieve more.”
On his part, the ES was full of commendation for the effort of the union, adding that it was a challenge to the management to do same.
Dedicating the bus, Apostle Ogoun, asked God to grant safe trip for all the journeys the bus will undertake and that it should not be an answer to the prayers of mechanics.
