The Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has urged staffers of the Institute to make it a point of duty to attend NICO Prays, the weekly Christian Fellowship every Wednesday, at its Head Office at 23 Kigoma Street, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, just as the visiting Pastor, Apostle Peter Ogoun, said constant prayers take the people of God to greater heights.
The ES, who was speaking at the Fellowship on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, said it was through prayers that God can help NICO, adding that all his life, God has always seen him through in all his endeavours, because his prayers had been answered; that God has always made a way for him where there seemed to be none.
His words: “I urge everybody to endeavour to come to the Fellowship. It is not meant for Pastor Herbert, Pastor Segun, and others. It is meant for all of us. Your presence and prayers to God can change your situations. All my life, I have always recorded success in all I do and wherever I go. God has sent me to NICO for a purpose; through prayers He has been helping me to achieve that purpose. We all need prayers to succeed in life. The just concluded workshop we did (for staffers of the Federal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and national Orientation), was successful because of prayers. When I told the Permanent Secretary about it, she bought the idea and told the Honourable Minister, who approved it. It is all the Lord’s doing.”
Apostle Peter Ogoun, who ministered on “Moving to the Next Level” in life in any endeavour believers are involved in, also urged NICO workers to be prayerful, because it is through prayers that God can change the situation of His children.
Citing the Book of Deuteronomy 2: 2-3, which reads: “Then the Lord told me that we had spent enough time wandering about in those hills and that we should go north,” Apostle Ogoun stressed the need for Christians to always pray and not stay too long in a position because God does not like stagnancy.
The man of God stated that it is through prayers that the delay in the life of man changes, identifying four keys to help people move forward to the next level, thus: hearing God’s word, praying unusual prayers, planting good seed on good grounds, and taking another step of faith.
“The truth is that if anybody can do apply all these, God will move that person to the next level. There was nothing like Prime Minister in Egypt, but God created it for Joseph. It is not the wish of God for people to remain in one position. It is for you to pray and He will remove whatever the obstacle is; then you move and get to the greater height,” he said.
