A Traditional Ruler from Bayelsa State, King Amalate Johnnie Turner has identified compulsory teaching of Entrepreneurship Studies by the nation’s universities as a veritable means of tackling the problem of unemployment among Nigerian graduates.
King Turner stated this during the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree on him by the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi in Benue State.
The Traditional Ruler who expressed concern over the rush for white collar job by Nigerian graduates identified self employment as key to economic development.
King Turner used the occasion to call for the resolution of the on-going strike by Polytechnic lecturers in the interest of students who have spent about seven months roaming the street.
