The acting Executive Secretary of the National  Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO),  Mr Louis Eriomala during a working Visit to the Lagos Office , in his  quest to improve on the Institutes mandate has reassured staff of a better working environment.

Making this disclosure yesterday 22 March 2018 after his meeting with the Academic unit of the NICO Training School 2017/2018 Examination Board which was  held in the premises of Lagos Liaison Office of the Institute,Eriomala said from his innermost mind, his daily prayers has been better welfare for Staff.

Eriomala, who addressed the issue of union, advocated the need for majority to belong to a particular trade union.   The acting ESalso announced that plans are on ground to make the NICO training School certificate Valid for promotion in the Culture sector.

Expressing his worries over the recent decline in the ability for staff  to read and develop them selves, Eriomala said it was  sacrosant for national development.

 “NICO has the richest website in the culture sector and the largest compilation of Cultural library  so you cant just stay and not develop yourself,”he said.  He further admonished Staff to desist from late coming.  The acting ES  further stated that strategic plans has beenputinplace by the management on issues concerning programme attendance by staff as it is  intended to make sure every staff, especially,the seniors attend at least one programme.

“Recently, the Institutes Website has been  upgraded , i urge the corporate affairs unit to always download stories from the website and post on the board for staff  to read”.

During the question and answer forum the Acting ESenlightenedstaff on issues that were were raised  as he assured them of a better working environment

Earlier in her welcome address, the Director (NICO training School Lagos, Mrs Bridget Yerima, demonstrated her heart felt gratitude for a quick response by the Acting ES towards  reviving the learning  environment of the training School.

Mrs Yerima, reiterated that nobody can love God if he or she does not love other human beings created by God.

She prayed that the new Management will haveall hands on deck to move Nico to greater heights.
