The Managing Director, Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS), Chief Chukwuma Ogbonna has called on Nigerians to make maximum use of our culture to develop the economy.

Ogbonna made this call on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 in Enugu state while delivering a goodwill message at the New Yam Festival/Award Ceremony, organized by the Enugu State office of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO).

The ESBS Boss who was a recipient of Award of Excellence as a Cultural Ambassador, described culture as a goldmine that has been neglected for many years in Nigeria that many countries of the world with less endowed resources have attained national development by harnessing their culture and tourism potentials.

He however, acknowledged the efforts of NICO in entrenching cultural values in the citizenry in the midst of high level of moral decadence in the society and pledged to partner NICO especially in the area of disseminating information about the Institute’s programmes and activities.

In appreciation, Ogbonna further thanked the Management of NICO for finding him and others worthy of the award, saying they will collectively give their unflinching support to enable the Institute realize its set goals and objectives.
