Global Media and Tourism Summit 2016 Opens In India

The Global Media and Tourism Summit, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), Asian Academy of Film and Television, Marwah Studio (a creative Enterprise) and World Peace Development and Research Foundation held on the 27th February, 2016 at the film city, Noida, India.

In his opening remarks, the President of the Summit, Mr. Sandeep Marwah, stated that it is organised to celebrate love, peace, unity and growth and welfare of media and entertainment industry all over the world, which is been driven by tourism.

The mission of the Summit is equally in uniting the world through art and culture, because the world, as a global village, needs the peaceful coexistence of all nations irrespective of language, faith and culture driven by tourism.

The Chairman of the Summit and the Ambassador of Republic of Korea, stated further that the world is a global village, hence, there is need for connectivity, which the media must enhance all over the world through cultural diversity, stressing the need for the media to forcefully spread the progressive thinking thereby pushing the world to imbibe the true tenets of democracy and the promotion of tourism.

Over 21 countries were in attendance with a host of dignitaries, including the former Indian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Mahesh Sachey and former Secretary to Government of India, Mr. R. K. Bhargava, to mention but a few.

The summit was also used to honour 44 members as including, Yours Truly, Eni Vincent Eni, as Life Members of World Peace Development and Research Foundation, which is a Division.

The summit organisers had hosted the 4th Global Festival of Journalism from the 12th-14th February, 2016 at the International Journalism Centre, which is “an event of the journalist for the journalists by the journalist” at Marwah Studio Complex, Noida, India.

The participants at the International Programme on Innovative Leadership were delegates representing their respective countries; and certificates of participation were presented.
