As preparations for the 2nd NICO National Conference for Traditional Rulers in Nigeria hit top gear, the Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, will, on Monday, 12th May, 2014 feature in the Living Room of Bush House, a radio programme hosted by the “Boss” himself, Mr. Michael Bush.
The live phone-in interactive radio programme, which is a private production of Bush House Media Ltd, and has NICO as one of its long-standing partners, will be broadcast live on Kapital 92.9 FM, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
This edition of the programme will centre mainly on the forthcoming 2nd NICO National Conference for Traditional Rulers, with the theme, “Culture, Peace and National Security: The Role of Traditional Rulers in Nigeria’s Democracy,” scheduled for 26-27 May, 2014, at the Arewa House, Kaduna.
It will be recalled that NICO first directed the attention of Nigerians in 2012 to the security challenges in the country, when it organised the 1st National Conference for Traditional Rulers and Local Government Chairmen, as the key primary peace agents.
Apart from the remarkable success of the maiden edition, the Institute has been buoyed by the fact that this edition has the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Abuja.
