The Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Prof. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, gave his last lecture for the Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Administration class, Thursday, 12th May, 2016, at the Training School complex of the Institute, located at the National Theatre Annex, Iganmu-Lagos.
The NICO Boss, who is the resource person for the course, entitled, “Advanced Research Methodology”, in his revision exercise, took the students through all the topics ranging he had treated so far, from Introduction to Cultural Research through Sources of Cultural Research; Common Problems of Research for Beginners; Issues of Copyright, Piracy and Plagiarism; to Documentation in Research Methodology.
He also entertained questions from students and provided the required responses, further stressing the importance of revision as a teaching process that consists of the recollection of the entire course content, aids students in preparing adequately for examinations.
In concluding, he admonished the students to study hard for their examinations, emphasising that it was the only way to give good account of themselves, as the Institute operates “a zero tolerance policy for all sorts of exam malpractices”.
The First Semester Examinations of the NICO Training School in the Lagos Centre will commence on Monday, 23rd May, 2016, for the Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma students; and it will last two weeks.
