The 35th Meeting of Chief Executives of Culture of the Federation, otherwise known as the CEC, made up of Federal Directors of Culture, CEOs of Parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture & National Orientation, and Directors of the State Councils for Arts & Culture and History & Culture Bureau of the 36 States and the FCT, comes up from Monday, 28th – Thursday, 31st March, 2011 at Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri, Imo State,.

A statement signed by the Executive Director/CEO of the National Council for Arts & Culture, Mr. M. M. Maidugu, stressed the importance of the meeting for delegates to follow up crucial issues raised at the previous meeting held in Uyo, Cross River State, between 24th – 27th August, 2010.

The Meeting is expected to be declared opened by the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10.30am.

The Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, will lead the NICO team to the meeting.

A communiqué is expected at the end of the meeting.
