The Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, is billed to deliver a keynote lecture at the 2012 School of Arts Conference, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State.
The Conference, which takes place at the Theatre Auditorium of the College, from November 7-8, 2012, is with the theme, “Language and the Arts for Relevant Education.”
Dr. Ayakoroma’s keynote, titled, “Mainstreaming Language and the Arts in the Nigerian Educational System: The Importance of Being Relevant,” will lay emphasis on the need for goverment to exhibit political will in giving language and the arts the proper place in Nigeria.
