Otunba Ajiboye Receives Award For Upholding Culture, Heritage & Tradition
The Yoruba Youths Assembly (YYA), the umbrella body of all Yoruba Youth Groups Worldwide has presented the Yoruba Youths Leadership Award of Integrity and Certificate of Award into the YYA Hall of Fame to the Executive Secretary/CEO, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye as foremost upholder of culture, heritage and traditions for the year 2025.
Presenting the award in his office on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the President of YYA, Honourable Olaride Thomas said the conferment of the Integrity Award is in recognition of Otunba Ajiboye’s commitment and passion towards promoting our culture for economic growth.
According him, Otunba’s achievement before and after his appointment as ES of NICO is commendable, stressing that they have come to appreciate and identify with him as pillar of culture in Nigeria.
“We are here to celebrate achievement, dedication to leadership, preservation of culture and tradition, to celebrate an educator, a promoter of culture and tradition towards the unity of Nigerians and to appreciate a true patriot of this great continent, who has impacted positively on our generation”.
“We are here to reward, salute and encourage an apostle of positive change, quintessential leader, a man that has and is still contributing his quota to nation building, humanity and hospitality, who has raised the bar among other political leaders and remain the best legacy that can be bequeathed on the children of the common man in any society, particularly in the South-West”.
“Sir, your stewardship as an outstanding Executive Secretary/CEO of NICO is a direct response to the prolonged cravings of our generation for quality leadership in our society. It is an honest answer to our deep aspiration for a complete break from the failures of the past. Thus, anybody who wants a greater future must appreciate the roadmap of development you have continued to provide.”
Responding, the NICO Boss Commended them for deeming it fit to be a recipient of such a prestigious award and urged them to remain steadfast and committed to whatever course they do.
