The Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Mr. Nelson Ebi Campbell, has disclosed how God made June 29, 2009, a very special day in his life.
Speaking at the Special Mid Year Thanksgiving Service of NICO in Abuja, Mr. Campbell said though it was a day God proved his total love for him. “It was a day I lost all I had: the engines of my two cars and the generating set of my printing press knocked, and God also spared my life.”
The Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, who was highly elated, further testified that God spared Campbell’s life in a miraculous way in the sense that he dropped from a motor bike which was carrying him when he saw a friend, and the bike was involved in a ghastly accident a few poles from that point, with the okada rider’s legs broken. “The accident occurred after SA had come down from the bike and entered a friend’s car. They saw the okada on the ground a few poles away with the okada and the rider on the ground, with broken legs. You can see that he lost everything, his cars and generator knocked, but he did not lose his life. He is alive today and God has really replenished all the losses. To God be the glory. God provided a linkman that saved him from the accident with the okada man.’’
SA, who read Psalm 95, also sang a special song to praise and glorify God, with the lyrics: “Jesus, you are a miracle to me. I cannot forget your name. When I am in problem, you saved me. I cannot forget your name.’’
More testimonies were given by members of the fellowship, followed by Songs of Praise, special renditions, drama presentation, and the Sermon which was delivered by a visiting pastor, Rev. Akposeiye James of the Soul and Spirit Healing Ministry, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The drama presentation had a striking message, guiding Christians on how to pray. It depicted how God responds to the prayers of believers, stressing that when a Christians prays with praises and thanksgiving, God Himself will respond positively.
