altHis Royal Majesty, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aremu Aromire (Oyegbemi II), the Ojora of Lagos, has confirmed his readiness to attend the maiden convocation ceremony of NICO Training School, scheduled for Saturday, the 17th of August, 2013, at the Cinema Hall II of the National Theatre, Iganmu-Lagos.

Oba Aromire, who disclosed this during a courtesy visit by Management and Staff of NICO Lagos, to his palace, on Wednesday, 7th August, 2013, thanked the delegation from NICO for the visit, the first ever to his Palace, stating that the visit was long overdue.

Earlier, the Director, NICO Training School, Mrs Brigitte Yerima, said that the visit was to inform the monarch of the presence of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) in his domain in Lagos, and also to officially invite him to grace the forthcoming convocation ceremony.

altShe said that the convocation, which is a 2-day event, is preceded by the 4th NICO Annual Public Lecture on Friday, 16th August, 2013, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, while the Graduation Ceremony and Awards presentation to students, who have successfully completed the Institute’s Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma courses in Cultural Administration, will hold on Saturday, 17th August, 2013, in Cinema Hall 2, National Arts Theatre, Iganmu-Lagos.

Other members of NICO delegation to the Oba’s Palace werere Mr. Louis Eriomala, Director, Lagos Liaison Office, Dr. Dipo Kalejaiye, Alhaji Bashir Mohammed, Mr. Tony Okafor, Ms Josephine Salami and Mrs. Uju Ukwu.
