The Chairman of Board of National Institute for Culture Orientation (NICO), Alhaji Ibrahim Isma’il, will today, Thursday, 21 November 2013, visit the Institute’s Headquarters at No. 23, Kigoma Street, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Alhaji Isma’il, whose appointment as the Board Chairman of NICO came from President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, alongside other Chairmen and Members of the Governing Boards of Federal Government Parastatals and Agencies in Nigeria, was recently inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, Chief Edem Duke.

The Chairman, an accomplished legal practitioner, who hails from Jigawa State, was a former Special Assistant to erstwhile Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, in addition to being two-time Honourable Commissioner in Kano State and the Chief Legal Adviser of Kano State Urban Development Board (KASUDB) now Kano State Environmental Protection Agency (KASEPA).

The former Commissioner for Information and later Education in Kano State had pledged, in an interview with Nico News, recently, that the Governing Board will work as a family with the entire Management and staffers of NICO.

The visit will afford the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma and the management team the opportunity to properly brief him on the programmes and activities of the Institute.
