The Director, Administration and Human Resources of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Barr. Abayomi Oyelola mni, has called for internal and external collaboration that will take NICO to the utmost height.
Barr. Oyelola said this in his welcome address on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma and the management of NICO, at the maiden edition of NICO Governing Board/Management Retreat held at Nevilla Hotel in Kaduna, on January 5, 2011.
Describing the Retreat as “intellectual re-awakening for the benefit of the Institute,” Oyelola urged participants to put aside personal idiosyncracies and develop a common goal for institutional vision and mission.
The Retreat, according to him, was to afford participants the oppotunity to “engender the passion of working with appreciation, goodwill and good intent” to collectively achieve set goals.
Rounding up with rhetoric, Barr. Oyelola then asked: “How do we work together as a team and community to ensure that we found honour and build on success that encourage us to take NICO to the utmost height?” This only can be achieved, “if we are truthful to ourselves and the institution we represent,” he concluded.
