The members of staff of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), have been urged to continue with prayers to God and cooperate with the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma.

The wife of the ES, Mrs. Letty Ayakoroma, who stated this in the NICO Praise said the Almighty God does not relent in uplifting those who come to Him in prayers and those who cooperate with those in authority.

Applauding the NICO Praise initiative, which is a prayer session organized by the staff of NICO every Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Ayakoroma said it is commendable that people hold such a fellowship in the office to glory of God.

Also praising the traditional attires the workers were dressed on, she said: “I am happy with what I have seen here today. You are all looking good in the traditional attires that reflect your office. I am happy with the prayer session. The Fellowship is very good. With your prayers to God, cooperate with the Executive Secretary. God will reward and uplift you.’’

Pastor Herbert Ogbeh, who conducted the fellowship, also urged NICO staff to pray for God to continue to uplift the ES and his family. “Madam, we pray that God will continue to uplift and bless your family. You will give more testimonies to the glory of God. You will have favour for coming in the presence of God in NICO. Our ES is a nice and Godly person, so we will continue with our support to him, because support to him will bring a reward from God.”

Pastor Richard Tamaranebi, who gave the sermon, described the month of June (sixth month) as special in the life of Christians. In his topic “A Month of Divine Favour,” he said June is the same sixth month in which the birth of Jesus Christ was announced and it was also on the sixth day God created man. Taking his text from Luke 1: 26-30 and Genesis 1: 26-31, he said: “In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy God sent the angel Gabriel to a town in Galilee, named Nazareth. He had a message for a young woman promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was a descendant of King David. Her name was Mary. The angel came to her and said; “Peace be with you! The Lord is with you and has greatly blessed you.’’

Pastor Richard stated that the same way God sent the angel to Mary, tracing her root is the same way God locates those for divine favour. He said that the only way to have divine favour is for Christians to immerse themselves in God, by mending their ways with God. He added that this can be done even in the midst of problems and that God will surely send somebody to connect people to their favour.

“My dear people of God, June is a special month for all of us. It is a month of divine favour. Your favour will come to you! There is somebody who can connect you. Pray God to send that person, your helper, so that you can be located in your root. Pray, so that the problem that will make you strong will come. It is in the midst of problems your faith and trust in God are tested. So, we shall all be favoured in NICO in Jesus name!”

In his remarks, the ES agreed with the man of God, saying that the helper who will connect somebody is whom he would prefer to describe as the “linkman.” He said that everybody has got his linkman. But it is when somebody is strong in serving the Lord that the Lord will send that linkman to locate the person and deliver him from any problem. In this regard, he advised: “So, I urge all of us to be strong in the Lord and take this fellowship on Wednesdays very seriously.”

The ES is expected to deliver the Sermon in the NICO Praise next Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
