Armed robbers invaded the house of Alhaji Hammani Aliyu Dari, a staff of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Katsina Zonal Office, and stole his Peugeot 406 Saloon, with registration number FG11 A29, after manhandling him.
The ugly incident, which took place in the night, left Alhaji Dari with serious injuries.
An official report titled, “Report of Armed Robbery Attack at Residence of Hammani Aliyu Dari,” signed by the North-West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Hussaini, stated that the case had been reported to the Police.
The report, addressed to the Executive Secretary, reads in part, “This is to bring to management’s notice that the Chief Research Officer, Dari’s residence in Katsina, was attacked by armed robbers, on the night of Saturday 11th June, 2011. The officer has reported the case to the police station.”
The report appealed to the management to consider Dari for financial assistance. Other properties stolen by the armed robbers were listed as: Laptop Compact Presario CQ56, Sets of 12 native dresses, 12 native Hausa caps, wallet containing money with ATM and ID card, shoes and other valuable documents.
