The General Overseer of God’s Power Dominion Ministries Int’l, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Pastor I.A. Charles, has stated that if all Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria do what the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) is doing in the area of devoting time to worship God, Nigeria will not have problems.
Pastor Charles, who was in a special Wednesday Morning Fellowship in NICO Headquarters, Abuja with his wife, said that the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma, had started a similar fellowship when he was the Executive Director of Bayelsa State Arts Council, Yenagoa, and expressed his appreciation to him for continuing same in NICO, assuring that God always rewards dedicated service.
According to him: “If all the organizations of Government in Nigeria do what you people do in NICO, Nigeria as a country will not have problem. To have a fellowship like this unto the Lord is good. Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma started it while he was in the Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture. He really gave a good example in Bayelsa. I hope those who are there now continued with it. God will reward Ayakoroma for establishing the presence of God wherever he is. I want to tell you that God will uplift NICO very high.’’
Taking his reading from Genesis chapters 40:1-2 and 41: 1-2, then 8-15, Pastor Charles narrated the story of Joseph, who was imprisoned but was eventually set free and became a Prime Minister in Egypt, stressing: “Everything has a season and a reason. God had a reason for Joseph to be imprisoned. He was eventually called upon to interpret a dream which nobody could interpret in Egypt. From being a prisoner, he became a Prime Minister. I want to assure you all that something will happen that you will be the one to be located to provide a solution. When God wants to help somebody, he connects him to a man of God. Anywhere the devil has caged anyone here, God will release that person in Jesus name! God will put on a new garment on you the way a new garment was put on Joseph and that of the prison was removed. May your garment be your identity.”
Praying that God will surely raise the Institute high, the man of God anointed the staff with oil, saying: “There is power in the oil. God has used this to bless many people. It is the power God has given to me. This oil has broken the yoke of many people. It has set many people free from bondage. There is power in it. God will have a reason today to set you free from any bondage. As you receive this fresh oil, there will be a breakthrough in your life.”
Earlier in his remarks, the ES introduced Pastor Charles as a man of God whom God has used to touch lives and solve the problems of many people: “We are privileged to have a man of God who is wonderful, though he will not stay long because he has to catch his flight in the next one hour, I can assure you that a minute with God is like a thousand years. You will all be blessed.’’
The wife of the ES, Mrs. Letty Ayakoroma, who was also present in the fellowship expressed joy, for people to gather in the office to glorify God: “Each time I come and meet you praying, I am always happy. May God continue to grant your wishes in Jesus name,” she said.
A special prayer was offered for external students of the Nigerian Indigenous Language Programmes (NILP), who were present as they sang special songs in Tiv and Ijaw languages.
