The new Coordinator of the North Central Zonal office of National Institute for Cultural Orientation, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal, has said that failure has never been on his agenda, noting that the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has strategically repositioned the zonal offices in a bid to keep them constantly functional, and has been making Nigerians proud by exerting every bit of his energy to protect our cultures faced with the threat of extinction.
Mr. Lawal made the statement, while addressing staff of the zonal office on assumption of office, on 1st March, 2012, warning that he will not only distant himself from any failure, but that he was not ready to compromise the high concentration of the Executive Secretary’s efforts in protecting the pride of the future generation of this country.
He therefore urged staff of the Zone to re-affirm their commitment and work as a team to move the Institute to the next level, reminding them that any fruitful effort exerted in moving NICO to the next level will not go unrewarded.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, Mr. Naseer Saeed of the Corporate Affairs Unit, promised the ES and the Zonal Coordinator that staff in the zone will work diligently to convert the challenges of the struggle to success, informing that apart from being the ES of NICO, Dr. Ayakoroma is an irresistible leader and mentor to staff of the Institute and its well-wishers.
He pledged that staff in the zone will work to justify their pay by being dedicated, not only to the leadership of the Zonal Coordinator, North Central Zone, but also to the management of the Institute.
It will be recalled that the ES, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has repeatedly told staff that he was poised to making sure that the pride of the country was not only protected but re-awakened and that capable hands were always put in place to ensure proper coordination of the programmes and activities of the Institute in the zonal offices.
