Students of the Department of Theatre and Cultural Studies, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), held a fellowship, to show their commitment to discipline, and to committ the department to the hands of God.
Simon Ochede, who conducted the fellowship, called on the students to have faith in God, so that He will continue to guide them in all their endeavours.
Taking his reading from Hebrew 11: 1-13 and Mark 4:36-41, Ochede said that God is faithful; and that it is for mankind to be faithful and believe in Him: “God is always there for us. He is always ready to favour us in everything including our studies in this school. It is for us to have faith in Him; we will receive His favour. We must be prayerful. We must seek the face of God at all times. The Bible is clear on all these. Even when we encounter problems, God is there to solve them for us.”
The President of the Theatre and Cultural Studies Students Fellowship, Jacob Sananu, told Nico News that the fellowship is a forum where the students come together to pray, so that God will continue to help them in their studies and in all their endeavours.
According to him, the fellowship is also to let them excel as ambassadors of the department and the purpose for which they have come to the university.
