Former Miss Felicia Campbell Ziprekumo of Admin Department, NICO South-East Zonal office, Owerri, and younger sister to Deputy Director and Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Hon. Ebi Nelson Campbell, has tied the nuptial knot.
The solemnization of the Holy Matrimony between Felicia Campbell Ziprekumo and Author Pere Embikoro, her heartthrob, took place at the Diocesan Headquarters of Salem Foundation Faith Church, Wetland Lane E, Osiri Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Saturday, 17th March, 2012.
Performing the handing over as Father to the bride, the SA to ES, Hon. Nelson Campbell, prayed God to bless the union, give the couple a fruitful marriage and a blessed home filled with children, who would grow up to obey the Lord and take care of their parents.
Admonishing the bride and groom, before they took their marital vows, the Resident Pastor of the church, Nator Omungu, said, “the manual for a successful marriage is the words of God;” and that, “one vital key to success in marriage is the Power of Marital Agreement between the couple.”
Backing this theme by taking a reading from the book of Matthew chap. 18 verse 19, where Jesus stated: “I also tell you this: if two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in Heaven will do it for you” (NLB), Pastor Omungu charged the couple, that as they pledge their love and fidelity to one another, to live together as man and wife till death do them part, they should anchor on God the sustainer of the institution called marriage.
At an elaborate reception, which followed immediately after the church service at Ididie Hotels, also in Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, chairman of the occasion and Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, represented by the Director, Finance and Accounts, Mr. Godson Ordu, stated that he is pleased to see that Nigerians from all walks of life and from different parts of the country cherish the culture of marriage, which had informed people traveling from across the country to Bayelsa state to lend support to the families of the bride and groom.
The ES further said he wished Nigerians from all walks of life and from across the country would accord NICO the same support shown to the newly wedded couple because as unique and as important as marriage is, so also is the Institute, with its unique and important programmes aimed at promoting, sustaining as well as preserving our cherished cultural values and traditions as Nigerians.
He further appreciated the large turnout of people for supporting the family of Mr. and Mrs. Author Pere Embikoro and their families at the occasion.
In attendance at the wedding ceremony to rejoice with Felicia & Author as well as to felicitate with the Special Assistant to the ES, Hon. Nelson Campbell, were, the Assist. Director (Protocol), Mr. Alex Omijie, Zonal Coordinator, South-East, Mrs. Chioma Duru, Assist. Director/Zonal Coordinator, South-West, Mr. Ohi Ojo, CSO to ES, Mr. Richard Tamaranebi, and other NICO staff.
