The Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has described his rating of Bush House Nigeria, a Radio Nigeria Programme, as “more than double,” after its 9th anniversary celebration.

Ayakoroma, the CEO of one of the leading sponsors of the Bush House Nigeria, disclosed this in Abuja, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, when he played guest to the programme presenter, Aniekeme Finbarr, in the studios of Radio Nigeria, Kapital FM, 92.9.

The NICO Boss, who expressed hearty congratulations to Bush House Nigeria, over the celebration of its 9th anniversary recently, said he was impressed with the level at which the programme is fast achieving results, stressing that, “It is one thing to get sponsorship for a programme and another thing to get the right result. What we got on Sunday was getting more than what we had expected,” he said.

He also congratulated the World Win Media for the scholarships awarded to ten students as well as the Special Award to Police Corporal Dauda Solomon, whom he fondly referred to as,  “The Ajasco of Police,” who is very entertaining when controlling traffic. He observed that the decision of Bush House Nigeria to honour the Police Officer with the award will not only encourage Nigerians, but that it is a clear indication that whatever they are doing, they should do it very well, stressing that in doing so, even if men do not reward them, God in His own way, will find a means of rewarding them.

Asked if there were peculiar reasons why NICO is associated with Bush House Nigeria, Ayakoroma recalled his first encounter with the producer of Bush House Nigeria, Mr. Michael Bush, where he heard him on a radio interview and was really impressed and said, he wad “an interviewer’s delight and ever since my first appearance where I featured on the programme, I knew it was a programme that needed to be encouraged. That is why NICO identified with the programme and so far, we have had no regrets.”

Ayakoroma, who wished that the Institute had the funds to do more than what it was doing presently to encourage and support the programme, maintained that “Although it is a little beginning, we will start from where we are. We are using what we have and we know that we will get to where we want to be.”

Meanwhile, the Bush House Nigeria crew has expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Secretary for his particular support towards the success of the 9th anniversary celebration of Bush House Nigeria and his continued assistance.
