altIt was all fun fair, after the colourful opening ceremony at the Metropolitan Square, as the competitive events of the 26th edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST 2012), kicked off with Children’s Moonlight Games, at the Cultural Centre Complex, Ilorin, yesterday, Tuesday, 16, October, 2012.

The event, which is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 14 years, featured three participating states, for a start, namely, Niger, Edo, and Akwa-Ibom States, and the presentations depicted those things that were eroding the constituents of peaceful co-existence in our society, and how they could be curbed through the revival of our cultural heritages.

More participating states are expected to go on stage for the Moonlight Games, today, Wednesday, 17 October, 2012, just as dance drama and traditional wrestling will also be declared open, respectively.
