altLove, they say, knows no bounds, and this adage depicts correctly the scenario that played out on Saturday, 24th November, 2012, at the God of Elijah Ministries, Jikwoyi Phase 1, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, when Mr. Abovi Agodo Agofe from Uzere, in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, son to Mrs. Victoria Agodo, pioneer Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), tied the nuptial knot with his fiancée, former Miss Menayimbe Ladan from Cham, in Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Administering the oath of matrimony to the couple, the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Aderemi David, congratulated the couple for taking a bold and decisive step of faith, while commending their parents and, especially, the bride’s for supporting them all through their period of courtship, noting that with faith in Christ, nothing is impossible altfor God’s children to achieve.

He therefore admonished the couple to put their trust in God, who instituted marriage and to rely solely as well as observe all the instructions recorded in the Bible concerning the union, stating that, doing so was very important given that, the Bible is not only the manual of a successful marital life, it is also the symbol of their vows of fidelity to one another.

Earlier, Reverend Dogara Gwana of First Baptist Church, Makurdi, Benue State, performed the admonition and charge, while Elder Barr. Ibitoye took the scripture reading from I Peter chap. 1:3, and urged the couple to make Christ their cornerstone, saying that marriage is not something to be entered into carnally but spiritually and in total submission to the directives of God.

Talthe wedding reception was held at Raw Materials Research and Development Council Auditorium, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja, where the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, was represented by the Director, Orientation and Cultural Affairs, Mr.  Festus Ihenetu, just as the Director, Research and Documentation, Mr. Louis Eriomala, and the Assistant Director/Head Research Unit, NICO Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Michael Ekoko, were also present to felicitate with the former NICO boss.
