Talthe Head, Department of Theatre and Cultural Studies, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), and National President of the Society of Nigerian Theatre Artists (SONTA), Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, for identifying with him on his recent confirmation as Professor of Theatre and Development Communication.

Responding to an earlier congratulatory letter, sent to him by the NICO boss, Professor Dandaura said, “I received with deep appreciation, your letter dated 7th January, 2013, congratulating me for the recent confirmation of 2009 as the effective date for my elevation to the position of Professor of Theatre and Development Communication by the appointments and promotions committee of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.”

Daltescribing Ayakoroma as one of the most enviable vibrant Chief Executive Officers and prime promoter/researcher of Nigerian Arts and Culture, Dandaura stressed that his felicitation was not only heart-warming but significant in so many ways, adding: “Your letter is significant for so many reasons. First, the date, January 7th happens to be the 4th year anniversary of my assumption of duty in Nasarawa State University. It is also the 4th Anniversary of the establishment of our Department of Theatre & Cultural Studies here in Keffi.”

He further commended Ayakoroma for his contributions to the Department of Theatre and Cultural Studies at the Nasarawa State University, in his capacity as a Visiting Senior Lecturer, saying since he assumed duty as Executive Secretary of NICO, the young Department has continued to enjoy tremendous support, goodwill and advancement, as a result of his personal professional contributions and corporate collaborations.

Dandaura wished the NICO boss greater achievements in the New Year and many more years of fruitful service to the nation and profession.
