altThe Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, has approved the redeployment of Directors to ensure the smooth running of the Institute.

The redeployment, which was necessitated by the retirement of the former Director of Orientation and Cultural Affairs, Chief Festus Ndukwe Ihenetu, who has proceeded on his pre-retirement leave, was contained in a memo from the Office of the Executive Secretary to all Directors.

The memo, which was signed on behalf of the ES by his Confidential Secretary, Miss Ebiere Dressman, reads in part: “This is to inform all Directors that as a result of the retirement of the Director of Orientation & Cultural Affairs, Chief Festus N. Ihenetu, from the service of the Institute, the Executive Secretary has approved the following redeployment of Directors, to ensure the smooth running of all the departments, and take NICO to the next level.”

According to the reshuffled list, Barr. Abayomi Oyelola, mni, Director of Administration and Human Resources, as well as Mr. Godson Ordu, the Director, Finance and Accounts, retained their respective positions.

The Director, Training School, Prince Bamidele Olusa, is now Director, Research & Documentation; the Director, Research and Documentation, Mr. Louis Eriomala, has been redeployed as Director, Lagos Liaison Office; while the Director, Lagos Liaison Office, Mrs. Brigitte Yerima, is now Director, Training School.

Mr. Nelson Ebi Campbell, Deputy Director/SA to ES is now Acting Director in the Office of the Executive Secretary, and still functions as Special Assistantto the ES; while the Deputy Director, Protocol, Mr. Alex Omijie, is to function as Acting Director, Orientation & Cultural Affairs.

While handing over processes are expected to be concluded on or before May, 2, 2013, all Directors have been urged to work diligently to enhance the status of the Institute.
