The Chairperson at the closing ceremony of a 3-week In-house computer training programme, Engr. Mrs. F. A. Alabi, a Director in the Industrial Development Centre, Ilorin, Kwara State, has commended NICO North-Central Zone, for its initiative in widening the horizon of staffers.

Engr. Alabi, who described the training as a great opportunity that needs to be grabbed without second thought for human development, congratulated participants for the privilege and advised them to own computer sets or laptops, to enable them practice what they had learnt, as practice makes perfect.

On her part, the Head of the Federal Information Centre of the Federal Ministry of Information, Ilorin, Mrs. Sade Boriowo, said as the first federal establishment to patronize the services of the ministry in the state, NICO had made her proud in so many ways, including the readiness with which staff accepted the training.

Also speaking, the Director, Public Complaint Commission, Mr. M. A. Oladipo, and the instructor, Mr. Babajide Fadeyi, respectively, urged the participants to put the knowledge acquired into practice to actively face future challenges.

Earlier in his address, the Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal, had said that the training, apart from complimenting the efforts of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, in making NICO staff computer literate, was also to reposition participants for further global challenges.

In his remarks, the Head of Administration and Human Resources Unit of the Zone, Mr. Olasinde Anthony, on behalf of the participants, expressed appreciation to the Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal, and promised that staffers would make good use of the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of certificates to the Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal, and other participants.
