altAs students of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) resumed this week for the second semester of the 2013/2014 Academic Session, the Institute’s management has carried out essential repairs and facelift to provide a better learning environment.

The new look, most visible in the Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma classrooms, include new and bigger marker boards, information boards and window blinds, ultra-modern learning facilities which have transformed the classroom, in addition to the repair of all damaged chairs, air-conditioners, electrical fittings and lightings that are all fully functional now.

altResponding to  commendations during a General Staff meeting on Thursday, 4th July, 2013, the Director, NICO Training School, Mrs. Brigitte Yerima, attributed the many laudable projects lined up for the School were in furtherance of Institute’s vision, under the focused leadership of Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma.

She reiterated that the School, under her watch, will continue to factor on NICO’s vision, as the apex and leading cultural Institute in Nigeria, informing that in addition to the regular programmes of the School, a list of short duration courses have been drawn up for 2013/2014 Academic Session.

According to Mrs. Yerima, a Marketing Unit has also been set up to aggressively reach out to prospective programmes participants, as soon as approval of granted for the programmes and funds made available, and further enjoined staffers to be punctual and always put in their best at work, as NICO’s Executive Secretary was inclined to tremendously transforming the Training School, being a strategic arm of the Institute, surmising that, “the best is yet to come.”

In his contribution, Mr. Law Ezeh, Lecturer and Students’ Affairs Officer, had observed that the renovations, which now offer more serene and conducive learning environment in the School, had upgraded the classrooms to acceptable standards.

On behalf of staffers and students of the Training School, Ezeh applauded the efforts of the management in transforming the School and used the opportunity to appeal for accelerated development of all areas of the School.
