All is set for the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) to hold the 1st Convocation Ceremony for graduands of the Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Administration being offered at the Institute’s Training School in Lagos.
The 1st Convocation Ceremony of the NICO Training School, which is for four sets of graduands, from 2008 to 2012, scheduled to hold at the Cinema Hall II of the National Theatre, Iganmu-Lagos, on Saturday, August 17, 2013, will be preceded by the 4th NICO Annual Public Lecture, with the theme, “Nollywood as a Medium for the Promotion of Nigeria’s Cultural Diplomacy,” which will hold at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, 16th August, 2013, at 11:00am prompt.
A statement signed by the Acting Director/Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary, NICO, Mr. Nelson Campbell, said that the Honourable Minister of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, High Chief Edem Duke, will be the Special Guest of Honour at both events, while Professor Ayo Akinwale, Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, is Guest Speaker for the Public Lecture, while Professor Duro Oni, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services, University of Lagos will be chairman of the occasion.
