The English literary giant, William Shakespeare, stated that, life is a stage and men are just mere actors, who play their parts and make their exit. This was the case of the former Chairman of the Governing Board of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Ambassador Ibrahim Abubakar Ganyama, who, last week, lost the battle to save his life.
A Delegation from the National Institution for Cultural Orientation (NICO) comprising the current Chairman of NICO Governing Board, Alhaji Ibrahim Isma’il, who was a classmate and personal friend of the deceased, and the Director, Orientation and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Alex Omijie, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Amb. Ibrahim Abubakar Ganyama in Kano.
Alh. Isma’il was on hand to introduce the NICO Delegation to the family members, friends, and well-wishers, which included former Minister for Power and Steel, Amb. Bashir Dalhatu, AIG Mohammad Dan Madami (rtd), and Senator Danladi Sankara.
In a Condolence Letter presented to the family by Mr. Omijie, NICO’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, on behalf of the Governing Board, Management and staff of the Institute expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of Amb. Ganyama, who was Chairman of NICO Governing Board from 2008 to 2011.
He noted that during Amb. Ganyama’s tenure as Board Chairman, NICO witnessed industrial harmony and remarkable progress in the achievement of its statutory mandate due to his exemplary leadership, adding that, the NICO family “was very saddened by the shocking news of his deathat a time that the nation would have benefited immensely from his wealth of experience and patriotic zeal.”
The Executive Secretary, who prayed that the Almighty God should grant the Ganyama family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, urged the family to be consoled by the fact that he lived a very successful and fulfilled life and had left indelible imprints in the sands of time.
A Delegation from NICO North-West Zonal Office, Katsina led by the Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Husseini was part of the NICO Delegation during the condolence visit.
The late Amb. Ibrahim Abubakar Ganyama, who hails from Jigawa State, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
