With the robust nature of the achievements of the present administration, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan does not have the time to blow his trumpet; rather, Nigerians are doing that for him in appreciation of his selfless service.

His Royal Highness, King Amalate J. Turner, MFR, Obigbo Mikimiki 1, Obanema of Opume Kingdom, Bayelsa State, who stated this as Chairman at the launching of the book, PDP/Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Success Stories and Why Nigerians Must Vote President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan/PDP in 2015 Elections, Thursday, 13th March, 2015, at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, said Mr. President has been preoccupied with how Nigeria will be transformed.

TransThe Royal father, who was represented at the event by the Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Prof. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, further said that President Jonathan has shown his transparency by blocking several areas where corrupt practices thrived in Nigerian, adding that because of his (President Jonathan’s) sense of purpose, he was not using anti-corruption agencies to witch-hunt opponents of his administration.

King Turner, who is the current Chairman of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board, said though, “the Federal Government, under His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, has not been blowing its trumpet, there are incontrovertible evidences that the Transformation Agenda has impacted on Nigeria positively in the last few years. The recent re-basing of the nation’s economy affirmed that.”

He continued: “I am happy that the Initiative (TRANSGOLD) has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to showcase the giant strides being recorded by the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Administration.”

According to him, “GEJ has blocked several loopholes that had encouraged corrupt practices, beginning from the Federal Civil Service, pensions, fuel subsidy payments, utilisation of subsidy funds, fertiliser distribution to farmers through the e-wallet system, and collection of letters from the Presidential Villa for the award of phoney contracts, among others,” enjoining all to take the issue of their PVCs seriously, as their votes for GEJ must count in the 2015 election.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director-General of TRANSGOLD, Sir Chimzobam Kingsley Nnalue, said that the organization engaged in the publication to sensitize Nigerians on the many people-oriented projects of the President Jonathan-led administration, adding that it was also meant to mobilize Nigerians to re-elect President Jonathan and PDP to continue with their laudable projects.

Disclosing what TRANSGOLD will do everything possible to make sure that Nigerians are adequately sensitized to vote for President Jonathan, Sir Nnalue said the publication will surely get to the grassroots, promising: “All the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria will get the publication. We are coming out with extra 37 million copies. We will send to all the states, senatorial districts, constituencies, and wards. We have a good network for this distribution. We are not leavingTrans1 any stone unturned. With this publication Nigerians are better armed with what will convince them that when President Jonathan is voted in again, Nigeria will continue to enjoy meaningful and sustainable development.”

The event was graced by many dignitaries, including,  the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda, former Governor of Adamawa and current Honourable Minister of Youth Development, His Excellency Boni Haruna, Director-General, National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, Leader, House of Reps, Hon. Mulikat Akande, Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, represented by Uche Wihioka, among other personalities.
