Accomplished award-winning playwright and Professor Emeritus at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and first Distinguished Professor at Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Nigeria, Professor Femi Osofisan, has sent a call to theatre scholars to send contributions, in the form of short playscripts or excerpts, and especially for reviews/reports of productions accompanied by photographs, to a new journal he is editing, named 3P+, which is meant principally for performance issues.

According to an email, which he copied theatre scholars, since the demise of Nigeria Magazine, there has been little outlet for this kind of thing, and that  there is need to keep records, share ideas on directing, acting, costuming, playwriting, set designing, and so on.

Professor Osofisan said that he was surprised not to have heard from theatre scholars after his initial call, especially with all the productions they have been doing, advising that if they cannot devote time to writing such directly, they should at least get their postgraduate students or others to provide such write-ups, or their stage managers to do some detailed diaries about the processes of such productions.

He said while he is waiting for responses (to okinbalaunko@yahoo.com), he will be grateful if they can help spread the word among colleagues.
