The Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma has approved the redeployment of staffers in the Institute in an effort to reposition NICO for improved productivity.

The redeployment, which was contained in a memo from the Office of the Executive Secretary, dated 16th November, 2015 and signed by Deputy Director/SA-ES, Mr. Law Ikay Ezeh Jr., was addressed to all Directors/Zonal Coordinators/State Heads.

The memo reads in part: “This is to inform all Directors that in the bid to re-strategise and further reposition the Institute for improved productivity, the Executive Secretary has approved the following redeployments to ensure the smooth running of all the affected offices, and to take NICO to the next level in Year 2016.”

Those redeployed are the Zonal Coordinator, South-East Zonal Office, Mrs. Chioma Duru, who is now Assistant Director, Research and Documentation Department, NICO Headquarters, Abuja-FCT; the Head of Store, South-East Zonal Office, Ms Justina Akhilome, replaces Mrs. Chioma Duru as Coordinator in the zone.

Others are the Head of Audit, NICO Headquarters, Mr. Alfred Ogbe Herbert, who has been redeployed as Head of Finance and Accounts,  NICO Headquarters, Abuja-FCT, with Head of Procurement, Mr. Uruemu Okorodudu replacing him as Head of Audit at the Institute’s Headquarters in Abuja.

Also, the Head of Final Accounts at the Institute’s Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Pius Kemepade is now Head of Procurement, while the Head of Assets Management, Mrs. Hellen Obadiah replaces him.

Further stating that all newly redeployed officers are expected to work diligently towards enhancing the status of the Institute, the memo states that all handing over processes are expected to be concluded by Friday, 20th November, 2015.
