The National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) South-West Zonal Office Staff Welfare Scheme has put smiles on the faces of its members, in the spirit of the Yuletide Season, as they each went home with a 25kg bag of rice and three (3) litres of vegetable oil.

Reacting to the development, the Zonal Head, Mr. James Imohiosen, commended the effort of the leadership of the Scheme, headed by Mr. Chris Sodje, for the laudable ideas put together to making sure that members of the Scheme have something tangible to go home with at the end of the year even as they have given tremendous support in terms of cash gift and mobilizing members to attend ceremonies of staffers that had cause to celebrate in Year 2015.

Imohioson equally appreciated the gesture showed to him as part of the beneficiaries, despite joining the Scheme half way, and enjoined the Exco to extend a hand of fellowship to the less privileged out there, particularly the orphanages in subsequent years.

Also lending her voice in appreciating the laudable strides of the Scheme, Mrs. Adesuwa Eze commended the good work the Scheme has so far been doing since its formation, saying: “From the depth of my heart, I am very happy with what am seeing here today. A thing of this nature has never happened since the creation of the Zonal Office;” adding that, the executive should count on her support whenever needed.

Speaking on behalf of the Exco, the Chairman, Mr. Chris Sodje commended the effort of members in fulfilling their financial commitment to the Scheme despite the fact that contributions were not deducted at source, but rather paid through the financial secretary, saying everything had to do with financial prudence and commitment.

It will be recalled that the NICO SWZ Welfare Scheme, which was conceptualized in November 2014 and had members contributing financially from January to December 2015, has Mr. Chris Sodje as Chairman, Mr. Lawrence Olajugbagbe as General Secretary, Mr. Stephen Zikala as Treasurer, Mrs. Comfort Ogunseemi as Financial Secretary, while Mr. Clement Oludemi is the Public Relations Officer (PRO).
