Three members of staff of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) left Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday, July 14, 2018 to participate in a one-month long language summer programme organized by the Yunus Emre Institute, Turkey; the current president of the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNET).

The summer language programme will be conducted by the Turkish Summer School with participants from all over the world. NICO participants are Miss Gbemisola Ajibade of the Research and Documentation Department (Abuja), Miss Njideka Dimgba of the Office of the Executive Secretary (Abuja) and Mr. Safiyanu Abdulrhaman of the North-East Zonal Office, Yola. They are expected to learn Turkish on-site, witness Turkey’s history, culture, arts and geography and make new friends from different parts of the world as well as the ability to converse with them in Turkish language.

Already, their round-trip airfare, accommodation, three meals and their training cost for the programme has been taken care of by the Yunus Emre Institute, Turkey.

                                         

The participants are expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the Turkish Language Summer Activity on August 12, 2018.
