The Acting Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Mr. Louis Eriomala, has congratulated the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Deaconess Grace Gekpe on her election as Vice Chairperson of the African Union 3rd Scientific and Technical Committee, Youth, Sport and Culture (STC-YCS).
Grace Gekpe emerged Vice Chairperson at the just concluded Ministerial Session of the African Union Specialized Technical Committee Meeting on Youth, Culture and Sports, which was held in Algiers, Algeria with the theme: “Role of African Youths in Building a Strong Culture towards Fighting Corruption”.
In a congratulatory letter dated 29th October, 2018, Eriomala described Gekpe’s electoral victory as well-deserved, saying it was a confirmation of her exemplary leadership qualities.
Captioned “Congratulations on Your Election as Vice Chairperson”, the letter reads in part “I wish to congratulate you on your well-deserved election as the Vice Chairperson of the African Union 3rd Scientific and Technical Committee, Youth, Sport and Culture”.
Continuing, “The election by your colleagues across the continent is a confirmation of your exemplary leadership qualities, rich experience and passion for the development of the culture sector”.
He therefore prayed that the Almighty God will grant her the wisdom to succeed in her new assignment.
