The Governing Board of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) has scheduled its 3rd meeting to hold on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Institute’s Head Office, located at No. 23, Kigoma Street, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja-FCT.
Information available to NICO News indicates that at the meeting which will be held at the Institute’s Board Room by 11am, members will make their decision on the 2018 Staff Promotion Exercise as well as receive reports on alternative source of funding to execute the Institute’s mandate among other updates.
Recall that the Board during its last meeting in November, 2018, charged the Institute’s Management to look inward and explore alternative means of generating funds to achieve the Institute’s mandate where a committee was constituted to explore possible avenues for generating funds.
Expected to attend the meeting is Chairman of the Board, Hon. Yusuf Galambi; Acting Executive Secretary of NICO, Mr. Louis Eriomala; Representative of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Mrs Memunat Idu-leh; Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otumba Runsewe; Acting Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC), Mrs Ndidi Francisca Aimienwauu; Representative of the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Professor Habu Galadima; Representative of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Mrs Abimbola Dada; Representative of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs Itodo Elizabeth; Representative of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Mr. Muhammed Nuhu; Representative of NATCOM-UNESCO, Mr. Kehinde Ayotunde; and NICO’s Deputy Director, Legal Services, Barrister Musa Kakamba.
