The Management and staff of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) celebrated their Acting Executive Secretary, Mr Louis Eriomala by organising a surprise birthday for him at the Institute’s headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday April 17, 2019.
Mr Eriomala was so overwhelmed when he saw some Directors, Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors as well as staff of the ES office singing a birthday song in his honour he walked into his office in the early hours of the day on 17th of April, 2019.
The Directors and Members of staff took turn to shower the Acting ES Mr Eriomala birthday wishes and prayers to celebrate this special day.
First on the list was the Director, Orientation and Cultural Affairs Department, Mr Alex Omijie, who presented a customised birthday card to him. He explained that the surprise birthday was a demonstration of the show of love members of staff have for him that was predicated on his leadership quality in the institute. He further prayed for God’s increased wisdom, strength, protection, loving kindness and tender mercies upon the celebrant.
The Director, Administration and Human Resources, Alhaji Ibrahim Hussani expressed that the surprise birthday was to show how pleased the staff were with the NICO Boss as he wished him many more years of celebration.
In his birthday wish to the celebrant, the Acting Director, Research and Documentation Department, Mr Michael Ekoko, a close friend of the NICO Acting ES prayed for God’s guidance, comfort and protection upon him. Mr Ekoko however, highlighted the qualities of humility, honesty and care as outstanding and exceptional qualities of the NICO Boss.
The Head, Legal Unit, Barrister Musa Kakamba prayed for the celebrant’s confirmation as the substantial Executive Secretary of NICO and for better days ahead under his watch.
The Deputy Director, Admin. & Human Resources, Mrs Jane Anigala appreciated God for adding a new year to him and prayed that God would make him grow wiser even as he grows older. She also prayed that God would take the Acting Executive Secretary to that place he has destined for him.
In her remarks, the Coordinator, NICO Training School, Abuja Study Centre, Dr. Mrs Regina Onuoha said today is a special day for NICO Boss, her husband and others who share the same birthday with him. She prayed that God would continue to bless Mr Eriomala with sound health, wisdom, long life and prosperity, and that all his expectations and that of the institute will not be cut short.
Head, Cultural Affairs, Pastor Segun Adegbaju recounted his good experiences with the celebrant in the department of Research and Documentation. He reiterated how meticulous, forgiving and patient the NICO ombudsman is, adding that his position as the Acting Executive Secretary is not a surprise to him but a reward of his patience and good seeds sown in the institute. He further prayed that the celebrant will not crash-land in his career but will end well and his needs will be provided for by God.
Head, Finance and Account, Pastor Herbert Ogbe prayed for the grace and favour of God upon him even to face the challenges that come with his job as the ES.
Two members, Mrs Joan Joseph and Mrs Ifeoma Ogba of NICO Prays, a non-denomination Christian fellowship in the institute were also on hand to celebrate its member on this special day.
Head, Protocol, Mr Ibrahim Malgwi speaking on behalf of the staff of ES Office said that working with the celebrant for almost two years has taught them to learn and unlearn. He further prayed that the he will build on the foundation God has laid for him, and that his antenna will be fully on God in order to direct him wisely so as to pilot the affairs of NICO and that of his life very well.
In response to the encomiums showered on him, the Acting Executive Secretary, Mr Louis Eriomala thanked the staff for this show of love and prayed God to grant them their heart desires now and always.
The birthday cakes were cut and toast proposed gift of for long life and more celebrations in his life and family.
22 NICO staffers were in attendance that sang and danced to the glory of God for the surprise birthday party of the Executive Secretary.
