The Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje has commended the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) for the quality Resource Persons it brought for the national curriculum development workshop for its National Diploma in Cultural Administration.

He gave this commendation during a visit to the NICO team at the ongoing workshop in Syndicate Hall 1, NBTE Consult Limited No 9 Kajuru Close, Unguwar, Rimi, GRA, Kaduna, saying NBTE is at the service of NICO to achieve the important national assignment.

Describing it as an assignment that will bring sustainable national development, Bugaje said he was confident that the quality of resource persons from NICO would give it the best standard it deserves.

He asserted that he was impressed as he met the NICO team in the midst of the critique exercise, stressing that he really enjoyed the trend as discussions were going. The NBTE Executive Secretary while acknowledging the tedious nature of the exercise maintained that although the exercise appeared to be stressful, the team was doing well and would come out with good results.

In an earlier remark, the Director, NICO Training School, Mrs Brigitte Yerima who represented the Executive Secretary of NICO, Mallam Ado Muhammed Yahuza, thanked the ES of NBTE, stating that the Institute was grateful for the attention it has received in course of the accreditation exercise for the National Diploma in Cultural Administration.

Her words: “NICO is grateful for this exercise. The Resource Persons are carefully selected to give us quality. They are Prof. M. I. Umar-Buratai (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria); Prof. Mabel Evwierhoma (University of Abuja); Prof. E. S. Dandaura (Nasarawa State University, Keffi); Prof. AbdulRasheed Adeoye (University of Ilorin); and Assoc. Prof. John Iwuh (Redeemer’s University)”.
