The Management and staff of National Institute for Cultural Orientation wish to express with heavy hearts and sadness over the death of Prof. Sule Bello, who died on Sunday, Oct 3, 2021 at the age of 68.

Professor Bello until his death was a staff of the Department of History, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
NICO would always remember the Professor’s sterling performance as a guest lecturer at its Public lecture on imperial cultural illusions, Delusions and Hallucination,: Major sources of Africa’s contemporary Development crises, organised by NICO at the African first ladies peace mission secretariat conference hall, Central Business District, Abuja on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
An astute Historian cum politician, Prof. Bello was the Chairman, factional leader of the people’s Redemption party. He left permanent and admirable legacy that would be enduring in the area of motivation of men.
The Professor of History was a man of visible organisational skill, an embodiment of public intellectualism who subscribed fully to the ideals of professionalism.
We at NICO cannot find words to adequately convey the depth of our sorrow and the intensity of our grief over the death of our distinguished personality, one of the very rare breed of citizens who combined total dedication, commitment and excellence in all his endeavours.
Our consolation is in the expression that, good men must die, but death cannot kill their names. From God we come and to Him we shall return. We pray that Allah will grant members of the immediate family of the erudite scholar the fortitude to bear the loss.
