The South-South Zonal office of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) on Monday, 14th August, 2023 relocated to Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Federal Secretariate Complex Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The institute was among the sixty four privileged Federal Government Agencies in the State that recently got office allocations at the ultra modern complex.The Federal Secretariat Complex which was commissioned two months ago, was named after the former President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Addressing staff at the new office, the Ag. Zonal Coordinator of NICO South -South Zonal Office, Barr. Ayakoroma Bernard Preye welcome staff of the zone to the new office.He charged them to put in their best in promoting the institute’s mandate in the zone.He remarked that the new office has brought the institute to a strategic position, therefore, staff should utilize the advantage in marketing NICO Programmes, Publications and Cultural Materials.He advised staff to be disciplined and punctual to work also to promote Nigerian dress culture which the institute is known for, by wearing indigenous cultural attires to work.He further emphasised that staff of the zone should support the Commercial Unit in creating the awareness and marketing NICO products and programmes, noting that it is our collective responsibility to do so.Earlier, he stated that the Executive Secretary/CEO of NICO Mallam Ado Muhammed Yahuza is passionate iabout the institute generating revenue using the Commercial Unit as a gate way, therefore, all hands must be on deck in achieving same. Staff of the Zone thanked the Executive Secretary/CEO of NICO for his support and goodwill for Bayelsa office, particularly for making it possible for the zone to get good office accommodation at the Federal Secretariat Complex.They promised to put in their best in promoting the mandate of the institute in the zone.Corporate Affairs Unit
